Translinked was founded in Barcelona and in Cantabria back in 2016 and it started offering linguistic services only in Spanish and in English.
The person leading this project is Gema García who studied a 5-year bachelor’s degree in English Studies and Translation in the University of Oviedo. I also did an exchange year at the University of Masaryk in Brno where I studied English and Spanish philologies.
After that, I obtained a master’s degree in Translation, Interpretating and Intercultural Studies in the well-known Autonomous University of Barcelona.
After having finished my studies, I founded Translinked together with the translator Marta Ciprés in 2016, and since then I’ve been helping Translinked to grow up as a company, while continuing training myself as a translator, interpreter and copy-writer. I have gained experience in several companies and NGOs both in Germany and in Spain, and I have attended different training courses in varied fields from translation or linguistics in general to neuroscience or psychology.
But, thankfully, I’m not alone. Many other translators are collaborating in this project assuring Translinked the possibility of offering its services in a wide range of languages, some of them being as common as Chinese or French, while others are more difficult to find an available translator of, such us Georgian or Icelandic.
